Levin is about to get the town’s biggest batch of new houses in decades.
The new Hinemoa Estate development is extending Hinemoa St by 51 houses, which will go up on the 3.4-hectare site over the coming months.
A Horowhenua District Council spokesman said it was the largest Levin subdivision for a generation.
“The last time we saw a residential housing development of this size was the 1970s… Usually when we get subdivisions we’ll get maybe half-a-dozen new houses at a time.”
